OpenVPN for Linux/Debian

1 : Install Openvpn

Open the terminal and login as root and run the following command:
# apt-get install openvpn

2 : Download the configuration file

Run the following command to download configuration for openvpn
# wget -O /etc/openvpn/ca.vpn.swordvpn.ovpn

3 : Run openvpn

Now run openvpn as run:
# openvpn /etc/openvpn/ca.vpn.swordvpn.ovpn Enter your credentials and you should now be successfully connected.

4 : Change your nameserver (Optional)

In case any domain / website does not respond, it might be a problem with the nameserver.
# vim /etc/resolv.conf


If you have successfully connected but still have a problem with access to the resource, you can also try to change your DNS addresses.
